Re: Easement Vacation, Lot 1, Block 1, Southways
To whom it may concern:
Please let this letter serve as confirmation that the city intends to initiate a vacation process for the
easement described in an Easement Agreement dated July 24th, 1997 between the City of Orono and
James R. Jundt and Mary Joann Jundt, and recorded as document 6878945. This easement runs
through the newly platted Lot 1, Block 1, Southways.
Through the platting of Southways, approved by the City Council on June 11, 2018, a segment of
Brackets Point Road was vacated to support the rerouting of Bracketts Point Road. It is expected that
the remaining easement will be vacated upon acceptance of the new, rerouted sanitary sewer line as
the old line will be abandoned because it is not necessary. This is consistent with the agreement
referenced above.
