December 9, 2020

Dr. Tim Peterson Sent via EMAIL: drtimpeterson@gmail.com
Christian Family Church
2300 Heritage Place
Owatonna, MN 55060

RE: 560 Big Island
Land Use Application #LA20-000036

Dear Dr. Peterson,

You submitted a Land Use Application on May 20, 2020 for variances for the property addressed 560 Big
Island. The City of Orono maintains open and active Land Use Application files. However, once an
incomplete Land Use Application becomes inactive for 3 or more months, the City’s procedure is to void the
application and dispose of any paper plans.

Your Land Use Application #LA20-000036 was submitted May 20, 2020 and due to lack of information has
been deemed incomplete. The last updated plan information was submitted by you on July 9, 2020. Staff
has provided multiple deadlines for you to make the application complete. The most recent deadline
provided to you was October 21st, 2020 for placement on the November 19th Planning Commission
meeting agenda. That deadline has passed and no information was submitted.

Therefore, due to more than three months of inactivity, LA20-000036 has been voided. The submitted
application fee is non-refundable, however the escrow paid may be refunded provided no costs were
incurred from our consulting services (engineer and/or attorney) for their review of your application. I can
confirm that no time was spent by our consulting services in reviewing your application, therefore the
escrow will be refunded in full.

In order to proceed with your proposed project you must submit for a new Land Use Application; the next
deadline is December 16th for placement on the January 2021 Planning Commission meeting. Please
contact Laura Oakden by phone at 952-249-4602 or email loakden@co.orono.mn.us if you have any
questions.

Sincerely,
CITY OF ORONO

Laura Oakden
Planner
