W�R�AS,the City of Orono sustained substantial damage from storms during the
month of May, 1998; and
�REA�,the City of Orono has incurred substantial costs related to the mitigation
and cleanup of the storm damage; and
�6'�IE�AS,Federal disaster assistance is being made available to cities in Hennepin
County; and �
W��2EAS, a condition of receiving the financial assistance is the adoption of a
� � resolution authorizing the execution of a sub-grant agreement with the State Division of Emergency
Management.
NO�',T'HE�FORIE,BE IT RESOLVEI) that the Orono City Council enter into
a Sub-grant Agreement with the Division of Emergency Management in the Minnesota Department
of Public Safety for the program entitled Infrastructure Program for FEMA 1225 DR-MINNESOTA.
Mayor Gabriel Jabbour is hereby authorized to execute and sign such Sub-grant
Agreements and amendments as are necessary to implement the project on behalf of the City of
Orono.
