RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION
WHEREAS,the city of Orono is authorized by Minn. Stat.465.03 to accept donations of property
for the benefit of its people and is specifically authorized to accept gifts; and
WHEREAS, the Gillespie Center has made a donation to the Orono Police Department; and
WHEREAS,the value of this donation is $100.00; and
WHEREAS,the donation has been donated to Orono for the benefit of its residents; and
WHEREAS,the City Council finds that it is appropriate to accept the donation.
RESOLVED that the Orono City Council gratefully accepts the donation of a$100.00.
FURTHER, police department staff will acknowledge receipt of the donation and express
appreciation to Gillespie Center.
Adopted by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held on February 23, 2026.
