� °� <br /> � o o . <br /> �b. � CITY of ORONO <br /> � ti <br /> '� RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> �L�kE H�4�'� • NO. � �. � Q <br /> S <br /> A RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF A <br /> � FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF <br /> � MUNICIPAL SArTITARY SEWER TO SERVE THE ' � <br /> ORONO ORCHARDS AREA <br /> WHEREAS,the project azea was included in the recent MUSA expansion for sanitary sewer <br /> services, a neighborhood informational meeting was held to discuss the project, and project area <br /> residents have submitted a letter indicating interest in obtaining sanitary sewer; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Engineer has provided preliminary cost estimates for a sanitary sewer <br /> extension; however, additional information is needed in order to establish the feasibility of such a <br /> project; and <br /> � � . . � <br /> WHEREAS, it is proposed that �municipal� sanitary sewer trunks and/or laterals be <br /> constructed to serve the Orono Orchards area and that the benefitted properiy(s)be assessed for all <br /> or a portion of the cost of the improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,by the City Council of Orono,Minnesota that <br /> the proposed improvements be refened to the City Engineer for study, and that he is instructed to <br /> report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to <br /> whether the proposed improvement is necessary, cost effective, and feasible and whether it should <br /> best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement and the estimated cost of <br /> the improvement as recommended. . <br /> Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono this 24th day of August, 1998. <br /> ATTEST: - � . � Gab 'el Jabbour, Ma r . �. <br /> `�w ��� � � <br /> • Lin a S.
