Percolation Rate, Type of System. 2.8 minutes per inch. Shallow trench system on the new primary site. The original site will be retained as an alternate site. 2. Proposed Flow Rate. 4 bedrooms @ 153 G.P.D. = 600 G.P.D. 3. Soil Treatment Area Needed. 600 G.P.D. x 1.;i7 factor = 1000 Sq. Ft. 4. Size and Nu►aher of Trenches. 5 trenches 3 fee: wide and 66.7 feet long = 1000 Sq. Ft. These trenches would be spaced *7.5 feet apart center to center and be about 0.5 feet to 1 foot deep in the natural soil. 5. Drainfield Rock Needed. 37.0 cubic yards of rock is needed to have 6 inches under and 2 inches over a 4 inch distribution pipe. 6. Septic Tanks. Two septic tanks of at least 1000 gallons are needed. In addition, depending on the tank elevations, IL may be necessary for a pump and 500 gallon pump- ing tank to be used. 7. Additional Information. All construction and materials must adhere to the provisions of the City of Orono. All grading and construction traffic must be kept off both the prim- ary and the alternate drainfield sites. Brooks, 795 North Ferndale load The site evaluation report for the Brooks application has been submitted aril rcvictred. Soils were found to be suitable for a standard drainfield cy:,tcm. ' I.Sy boring on the site verified the soil types indicated in the rcv or4. Tho lot with the existing home has ample area for future drainfield should it ever become necessary. I would recommend approval of ttie subdivision.
