A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PURCHASE AGREEMENT
FOR THE ACQUISITION OF THE PROPERTY
AT 3790 SHORELINE DRNE
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR �
� TO SIGN THE PURCHASE�AGREEMENT
• WHEREAS,the Orono Parks, Open Space and Trails Commission and the Orono
. City Council have identified the acquisition of additional park land in the Navarre area as a top parks
priority; and
WHEREAS,the City Council directed the Mayor and City Administrator to pursue
the acquisition of the property at 3790 Shoreline Drive for potential park land use; and
• WHEREAS, an agreement has been negotiated with the properry owners for the
� purchase of the property at a cost of$160,000; and
WHEREAS,a condition of the purchase agreement is the approval of the agreement
by the City CounciL
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Orono City Council does
hereby approve the agreement for the purchase of the property at 3790 Shoreline Drive at a cost of
$160,000, and does also authorize the City Administrator to sign the purchase agreement and other
documents related to the purchase of the property.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting
held this 25th day of October, 1999.
