FERNDALE I NR6e, MINNESOTA Iv G On ;'al,y 5-7, 190j3 tw rec" n holes, 3 feet deep and 6 inches in diameter, were tested and 2 soil borings were taken according to the provisions of Individual Sewage Treatment Systems Standards (WFC-4c) . The present systeri is behind the house and had some extra trenches added a few years ago. We tested an area to the west of the present system and found the soils to be fairly loose and permeable, but that the water table follows the slope of the hill down through the drain - field, especially to the east. Thus, the runoff water should be diverted from the present site and-part.of the new trenches. It appears that if the rater is diverted, the recentl7 constructed trenches could still be used, with extra trenches being constructed to the west. AdditionLi system design information follows. If any other in- formation is needed., :,lease contact me. Sincerely, FERCOR, INC. Nark S. Gronberg, 7E. W.6 r.► i' RC:; McCLOUD 725 N . PERND„LE• ORONO, MINNESOTA Fercolation Results Hole ro. Soil Treatment Area RLquired. 1.27 percolation factor x 750 G.P.D. is 950 square feet minimum. 4. Size and Number of Trenches. 3 trenches, 3 feet wide and 106 feet long, is 954 square feet. This might be able to be reduced by the amount of recently con- structed trenches if runoff water is diverted from them. The new trenches should be no deeper than 1.5'feet in the natural soil, unless the water table is lowered. 5. Drainfield Rock. 53 cubic yards of rock is needed for 95.►; square feet to have 1- inches under end 2 inches over a 4 inch distribution pipe. 6. Sertic Tanks. If the .resent tanks are in good working order, they can be used. If not 2 tankn each of 1000 gallons #Ul be needed. It appears a third pumping tank will not be needed. llfav /Mc a o"o 725 Al.
