A RESOLUTION APPROVING EXTENSION OF
� JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT OF THE
WEST HENNEPIN RECYCLING COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the cities of Greenfield, Independence, Long Lake, Loretto, Maple
Plain,Medina, and Orono entered into a Joint Powers Agreement under the authority of Minnesota
Statute 471.59 in order to create the West Hennepin Recycling Commission for the purpose of
establishing, administering, and operating a curbside recycling program in each of the member
cities; and
WHEREAS,the West Hennepin Recycling Commission has recommended extension
�of the 7oint Powers Agreement as revised in October, 1995 through 2002.
� NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Orono, Minnesota that the Joint Powers Agreement of the West Hennepin Recycling Commission
� be approved and extended through December 31, 2002.
� Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting
held this 8th day of November, 1999.
