A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATIO`
FOR AN I/I REDUCTION LOAN OR GRANT TO THE
METROPOLITAN COUNCIL ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES (MCES)
WHEREAS, the city of Orono currently experiences substantial inf'iltration and
inflow (I/I) into its sanitary sewer system; and �
' WHEREAS, Orono has initiated, in recent years, a comprehensive proaram to
reduce I/I, and
' WHEREAS, the MCES is offering a program of loans and grants for I/I reduction
efforts.
• NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Orono City Council does
hereby authorize the submittal of an I/I reduction loan or grant application to MCES and also does
hereby authorize Gregory A. Gappa, Director of Public Services, and Ronald J. Moorse, City
Administrator, to serve as subject matter contacts related to the grant.
Adopted by the City Council this lOth day of April, 2000. '
