A RESOLUTION AWARDING
THE CONTRACT FOR THE
INSTALLATION OF SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS
IN THE EAST LONG LAKE AREA
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the installation of sanitary
sewer improvements in the East Long Lake improvement area, bids were received, opened and
tabulated according to law; and
WHEREAS, it appears that MinnComm Utility Construction Company, Mora,
Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono,
Minnesota:
• 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a construction
contract with MinnComm Utility Construction Company, Mora, Minnesota, in the
name of the City of Orono for the installation of sanitary sewer improvements in the
East Long Lake area according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by �
the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk in the amount of
$90,760.00.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and
the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
Adopted by the Orono City Council at a regular Council meeting held on July 10,
2000. �
