. RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL �
� NO. 1463
� REQUESTING CONVEYANCE OF TAX
� _ � � FORFEIT LAND FOR PUBLIC USE �
BY THE CITY OF ORO,�JO
. WHEREAS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation
organized and existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, •pursuant to Minnesota Statute 282, the City has
received from Hennepin County a list of lands within the City which have
become the property of the State of Minnesota for non-payment of real
estate> taxes; and '
WHEREAS,' the City Council has reviewed said lands for
compliancewithlocal zoninq ordinances, forthe amount of outstanding
special assessments remaining unpaid to the City, and/orfor possible
public use by the City as authorized by the statutes.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Orono, pursuant to Minnesota Statute Section 282.01 ,
Subdivision 1 , hereby applies to the Hennepin County Board of
• _ Commissioners and to the Commissioner of Revenue of conveyance of the .
following tax forfeited land to the City for recreation purposes.
The City Council hereby states that such lands are
substandard or otherwise unsuitable for private use and that there is a
need and justifiable public purpose for said lands to be conveyed to the
City.
