A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND
ORDERING IMPROVEMENT
NAVARRE STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT 82-2
WHEREAS, on October 8, 1982, several different bids
were received, opened and tabulated according to law pursuant
to an advertisement for bids for construction of the following
improvements:
l. Upgrading and widening of Blaine Avenue between
Crystal Place and Shoreline Drive, including
extension of Lyric Avenue west from Blaine Avenue
to the Schlee Builder 's, Inc. property.
2. Construction of stre�ts, curbs and gutters within
the proposed subdivision plat of ,Schlee Builder 's,
Inc. of property described as tax parcel PID
• 17-117-23 34 0010; and
WHEREAS, the City� Engineer recommends that Valley Paving,
Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder for this improvement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council presently intends to proceed with
construction of the improvement. '
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
� , City of Orono, Minnesota: ,
l. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby au�horized and
directed to enter into the attached contract with
Valley Paving, Inc. in the name of the City of Orono,
according to the plans and specifications therefore
approved by the City Council and on file in the office
of the City Clerk, ,with option to Administrator to
not award the contract if he deems it not advisable.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to �
return forthwith to all bidders the deposits •made with
their bids, except that 'the deposits of the successful
bidder and the next two lowest bidders shall be retained
until the contract is signed.
