APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
FOR NAVARRE UTILITY & STREET IMPROVE-
MENTS PROJECTS 82-1 & 82-2
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution #1409 of the Orono City
Council as adopted on August 23, 1982 , . the City Engineer has prepared
plans and specifications for the improvement of certain util.ities and �
streets in the Navarre area of Orono as follows :
1) Construction of a sanitary sewer trunk line
from the intersection of Blaine Avenue and
Lyric Avenue to lift station No. 5 at Togo
.� Road and Shadywood Road:
: 2) Construction of sanitary sewer, water main, storm
• sewer and streets within the proposed subdivision
plat of Schlee Builder's Inc. of property described
as tax parcel PID 17-117-23 34 0010. .
3) Upgrading and widening of Blaine Avenue between
Crystal P1ace and Shoreline Drive, including extension
of Lyric Avenue west from Blaine Avenue to the Schlee
� Builders, Inc. property.
4) Construction of lateral sanitary sewers to serve all •
properties abutting Northern Avenue.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Orono:
1) Such plans and specif icatons, dated Sept 7, 1982, one
copy of which is. attached�hereto and made a part hereof,
are hereby approved and the p�ojects sha11 henceforth be
designated as fol7.ows :

2) The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be in-
serted in the official newspaper and in the Con-
struction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon
the making of such improvements �under such approved
plans and specifications . .
The advertisement sha11 be published at least 10
days prior to bid operiing, sha11 specify the work
. to be done; shall state that bids wi11 be receivec�
by the Clerk until 10 :00 A.. M. on Friday, October
8 , 1982, at which time they wi�l be publicl.y opened
in the Orono� Couricil Chambers , 1275 Brgwn Road So.
by the City C1erk and Engineer, wi11 then be tabu-
lated and wi11 be considered by the Counei.l at �
7 :00 P.M. on Wednesday, _October I3, x982 in the ,
Counci7, Chambers; and sha11 state that no, bids wil.l
� be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk
and accompained by a cash deposit, casTiiers check,
bid bond or certified check �payable to the C1erk
for five percent of the amount of such bid1�
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minriesota on the
13 day of September � , 1982 by a vote of 5 Ayes � Nays.
