• ' • • ORDERING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND.
SPECIFICATIONS FOR NAVARRE UTILITY
AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, on June 28, 1982, the City Council adopted � �
Resolution 1390 ordering preparation of a feasibil.ity report regarding.
proposed construction of� utility and street improvements in the Navarre
Area of Orono; and �
WHEREAS, On July 26, 1982, the. City Council adopted Resolution
1395 accepting the feasibil.ity_ .report and Resolution �#1396 calling for
a public hearing on sueh improvement; and � �
WHEREAS, ten day� published notice of the hearing through
• two weekly publications of the required notice was given and the
Hearing was held thereon on the 23rd day of August, .1982, at which
time all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be
heard thereon; and
WHEREAS, the area in which trunk and lateral sewer service is
• proposed is within the Metropolitan Urban Service Area and the area
for which Northern Avenue later�l sewer serv.ice is proposed is identified I
in the Comprehensive Sewer Policy Plan as an unse�wered pocket of
existing development fo.� which the City has planned future sewer service; and
WHEREAS, the Schlee Builder.' s Inc.��proposed Planned Residential
Development subdivision� �of land located in'.the improvement area, for
which public street and utility improvements are proposed as part of
this project, has received preliminary . approval subject to certain
conditions including installation, of said improvement as" set orth in
Resolution #_��""� adopted on the �_ day of . �
1982.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Orono, pursuant to Chapter 429 of Mi�nesota Statutes, does •
hereby order Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik and Associates, Inc. , City
Engineers, to prepare plans and specifications for the improvement of
Navarre area streets and. utilities., as follows:
, 1) Construction of a sanitary sewer trunk line �
from the intersection of Blaine Avenue and
Lyri:c Avenue to lift station No. 5 at Togo
Road and Shadywood Road.

2) Construction of sanitary sewer, water main, storm
sewer and streets with�n. the proposed subdivision
plat of Schlee Builder, s Inc. of property described
. as tax parcel PID 17-117-23 34 0010:
3) Upgrading and widening of Blaine Avenue between
Crystal P1ace and Shoreline Drive, including extension .
� of Lyric Avenue west from Blaine AVenue to the Schlee
Builders, Inc. property.
�4) Construction of lateral sanitary sewers .to serve all
properties abutting. Northern Avenue. � �
