Dear Mrs. Schreck:
The City Engineer's report has been enclosed reviewing the alteration
of the designated wetlands within your property. He confirms your
consultant's recommendation that a drag line would '-)e the most
effective method in the removal of the road bed. We would recommend
that this be completed as soon as possible.
At our meeting with you at the site, we advised that the materials
removed could be placed within your lakeshore yard. The wood may be
stored and dried until ready for burning. The remaining fill material
may be used as you suggested to berm along the west side property
line to provide screening from the public access. Please review
the berming plans with the Building and Zoning Department prior to
installation.
In regard to your question concerning the best method for preventing
the erosion of your lakeshore shoreline, we strongly recommend rip
rap. If it is your plan to rip rap, check with Mr. Niccum, your
contractor, as he has installed several successful rip rap projects
along the shoreline of Lake Minnetonka.

shoreline erosion protection
At the regularly scheduled October 20, 1983 meeting of the Board
of Managers, the subject permit application was reviewed along
with the following exhibits:
1. Permit application recieved October 3, 1983.
2. Site plan and typical cross section prepared by B. Niccum
undated.
3. Property plat map undated.
The Board approved the permit application as submitted.
This document is your permit from the MCWD. It is valid for one
(1) year. If construction is not complete within one (1) year, an
extension must be requested. Please contact the District at
473-4224 when the project is about to commence so an inspector may
view the work in progress.
