A RESOLUTION TO RECOGNIZE THE LIFESAVING EFFORTS
OF OFFICER MIKE CARLSON
WHEREAS, the City of Orono is supportive of all of its police officers, support
staff, and supervisory staff in providing the higliest quality police services; and
. WHEREAS, on November 25, 2000, Officer Mike Carlson responded to a cardiac
arrest at the Culvers Restaurant and administered Cardiac Pulmonary Resusitation(CPR), '
thereby saving a life; and
WHEREAS, the family of Alice and Lawrence Brown of Golden Valley wish to
, extend gratitude for the expert training and successful actions of Mike Carlson and other officers
of the Orono Police Deparlment; .
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Orono City Council as follows:
1. The City Council hereby recognizes Officer Mike Carlson for his successful lifesaving
efforts on November 25, 2000.
2. The City Council hereby accept the donation on behalf of the police deparhnent and '
express the City's appreciation and gratitude for the donation.
