Resolution Requesting the Commissioner of the Department of
Natural Resources to transfer to the City of Orono, property
that is adjacent to Bederwood Park'on Stubbs Bay Road and the
Luce Line Trail.
WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources is in possession of a
parcel of land that is adjacent to the Bederwood Park on Stubbs Bay
Roads, and;
WHEREAS, the City of Orono has indicated to the Department of Natural
Resources an interest in part of that parcel and;
WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources staff has corresponded
with the Orono Council and staff so stating that the main interest
in that parcel of land is only to retrieve full right of way width
on that part of the Luce Line Nature Trail and;
WHEREAS, the balance of that parcel can be used for Park purposes
by the City of Orono;
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Orono City Council does
hereby respectfully request the commissioner of the Department of
Natural Resources to transfer by way of "Dead Fee Simple" that pa-
rcel of land legally described as follows to be used for Park purposes
by the City of Orono.

al description of the property is as follows; That part of
lot Northwesterly of a line commencing at a point on the
east line of Southeast one quarter of Northeast quarter of section 5,
Township 117, Range 23, distant 128 feet South from the Northeast
corner thence Northwesterly 298.80 feet to the North line of said
Southeast quarter of North east quarter at a point distant 270 feet
West from the Northeast corner there of thence to point of the beg-
inning.
