0 RESOLUTION # 979 <br />Resolution Requesting the Commissioner of the Department of <br />Natural Resources to transfer to the City of Orono, property <br />that is adjacent to Bederwood Park'on Stubbs Bay Road and the <br />Luce Line Trail. <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources is in possession of a <br />parcel of land that is adjacent to the Bederwood Park on Stubbs Bay <br />Roads, and; <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono has indicated to the Department of Natural <br />Resources an interest in part of that parcel and; <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources staff has corresponded <br />with the Orono Council and staff so stating that the main interest <br />in that parcel of land is only to retrieve full right of way width <br />on that part of the Luce Line Nature Trail and; <br />WHEREAS, the balance of that parcel can be used for Park purposes <br />by the City of Orono; <br />NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Orono City Council does <br />hereby respectfully request the commissioner of the Department of <br />Natural Resources to transfer by way of "Dead Fee Simple" that pa- <br />rcel of land legally described as follows to be used for Park purposes <br />by the City of Orono. <br />The�Zglying <br />al description of the property is as follows; That part of <br />lot Northwesterly of a line commencing at a point on the <br />east line of Southeast one quarter of Northeast quarter of section 5, <br />Township 117, Range 23, distant 128 feet South from the Northeast <br />corner thence Northwesterly 298.80 feet to the North line of said <br />Southeast quarter of North east quarter at a point distant 270 feet <br />West from the Northeast corner there of thence to point of the beg- <br />inning. <br />Adopted this 9 day of January , 1979. <br />Cit"y? of : Orono <br />William B.
