A RESOLUTION TO CLOSE THE FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUND
CHECKING ACCOUNT TO THE GENERAL FUND CHECKING ACCOUNT.
WHEREAS, The City has established a seperate and
distinct bank account for the receipt and disbursement of monies
received from the U.S. Treasurer under the Federal Revenue
Sharing program; and
WHEREAS, the City has also established a seperate
and distinct fund within its books and records to account for
the receipt and disbursement of the monies received from the
U.S. Treasurer under the Fereral Revenue Sharing programs; and
WHEREAS, the maintanence of a seperate bank account
is not necessary and complicates investing, accounting for
interest, etc;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Treasurer
is hereby authorized and directed to close the Federal Revenue
Sharing Fund checking account to the General Fund checking
account on or before January 1, 1979; but is also directed
and ordered to continue the seperate fund necessary to account
for the monies received under this program.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono,
Minnesota at a regular meeting held on December 18, 1978.
