A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE IMPOUNDING
OF DOGS AT M.A.P.S.I.
WHEREAS, the City of Orono has a contract with
the Metropolitan Animal Patrol Service, Inc. to furnish
animal control on a yearly basis, and
WHEREAS, the City of Orono has a contract with
Reo-Raj Kennels for an impound facility on a yearly basis, and
WHEREAS, Metropolitan Animal Patrol Services, Inc.
has indicated to the City of Orono, in writing, that they
can no longer take dogs to Reo-Raj Kennels because Reo-Raj
is not a facility licensed under Metropolitan Animal
Patrol Services, Inc.'s U.S.D.A. license, and
WHEREAS, Reo-Raj Kennels are not licensed under
U.S.D.A. requirements.
Is NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of
Orono will impound all animals at the facility of Metro-
politan Animal Patrol Service, Inc. until an alternate
facility be found.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono at a regular
meeting held November 14, 1978.
