• <br />RESOLUTION NO. 956 <br />A RESOLUTION TO REAFFIRM A WATER ASSESSMENT RESOLUTION <br />WHEREAS, on January 23, 1978, the City Council adopted <br />Resolution No. 871 to reduce certain water special assessments in <br />the amount of $1,371.70 based upon the original assessment amount; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, because the remaining assessments were not paid <br />at that time but were spread on Levy 5383, which procedure caused <br />the actual reduction to be less than the expected amount (actual <br />reduction as spread was $2,771.65 outstanding reduced to $2,040.12 <br />outstanding; reduction of $731.53); and <br />WHEREAS, it was and is the intent of the City Council <br />to reduce the then outstanding assessment by the full amount of <br />$12371.70 ($2,771.65 less $1,371.70 = $1,399.95 due); and <br />WHEREAS, at this time the property owner wishes to pay <br />the remaining assessments in full providing that the full reduction <br />• is granted; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of <br />the City of Orono hereby declares that a payment of $1,399.95 shall <br />constitute full payment for all outstanding water special assessments <br />on the subject lots and that upon payment of that amount before <br />November 15, 1978, all remaining amounts for the subject lots on <br />Levy 5383 shall be and are hereby waived according to Exhibit A attached. <br />The subject lots are defined as follows: <br />Lots 1, 2, 3, Block 1, Navarre - 38-42720-200,400,600 <br />Lots 2, 3, 4, Block 1, Lehman Addn. - 38-42425-4000,6000 <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, at their regular <br />meeting on 14 day of November 1978. <br />William B.
