• <br />RESOLUTION NO. 945 <br />A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE TRANSFER <br />OF LEAGUE OF LAKE MINNETONKA MUNICIPALITIES' <br />FUND BALANCE FOR LAKE MINNETONKA USE <br />WHEREAS careless operation including speeding, is a cause of many accidents <br />on the Lake and is reducing the recreational value of all wishing to use <br />the Lake; and <br />WHEREAS speed and noise control falls under the responsibility of the <br />Sheriff under contract with the Lake Minnetonka Conservation District (LMCD); <br />• and <br />WHEREAS radar speed control devices have now become available which are <br />suitable for use on lakes such as Lake Minnetonka; and <br />WHEREAS the use of such devices is necessary on Lake Minnetonka to en- <br />courage safe boating on the Lake; and <br />WHEREAS funding for such devices is not available in the Sheriff's budget <br />for 1978 and 1979; and <br />WHEREAS funds exist in the balance of the accounts of the League of Lake <br />0 <br />Minnetonka Municipalities; and <br />
