RESOLUTION NO.918
A RESOLUTION VACATING A PLAT ROAD IN THE SW 1/4 OF
SECTION 29, T118R23 WITHIN THE CITY OF ORONO, MINNESOTA
WHEREAS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation
organized and existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, the City of Orono has received a request from
the Hennepin County Park Reserve District to vacate a portion of a
plat road lying entirely within the Morris T. Baker Park Reserve; and
WHEREAS, no other property abutts or has access from the
portion of the plat road which is to be vacated; and
WHEREAS, after due published and posted notice, a Public
Hearing regarding said vacation was held before the Planning Commission
on June 26, 1978, and all interested persons were given an opportunity
to be heard; and
WHEREAS, after due study and consideration, the City Council
of the City of Orono finds that it will be for the best public interest
to approve such vacation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that such request is hereby
granted and the said "plat road" legally described as follows:
"All of the 'Plat Road' within the City of Orono, Hennepin
County, lying west of the east 332.3 ft. as shown on the
plat of Minnetonka Garden Acres in the southwest quarter
of Section 29, Township 118, Range 23."
is hereby vacated subject to the Hennepin County Park Reserve District
granting and providing a private easement for utility purposes to the
owners and operators of the existing utility lines traversing said
platted road.

Clerk/Administrator of the City of Orono hereby certifies
that attached hereto is a true and correct copy of the
original Resolution passed by the City Council of the City
of Orono on July 11 , 1978. approving vacating
a plat road in the SW 1/4 of Sec. 29, T118 R23 within City of Orono
on file in the office of the City Clerk/Administrator, City
of Orono.
