A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HENNEPIN
COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO
CONDUCT A TRAFFIC STUDY ON SHADYWOOD ROAD
(COUNTY ROAD 19) IN THE CITY OF ORONO
WHEREAS, on May 15, 1978 the City of Orono did
receive a letter of complaint from several citizens in
Orono requesting a lowering, of the speed limit on Shady -
wood Road (County Road 19), from the southern boundary
line at the Narrows Bridge, north to Shoreline Drive
(County Road 15) at Navarre from 40 MPHdown to 30 MPH, and
WHEREAS, the City of Orono's staff has reviewed
the situation and does agree that a traffic study be
conducted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City of
Orono does hereby request of the Hennepin County Department
of Transportation to conduct a traffic study on that portion
of Shadywood Road (County Road 19), starting at the southern
boundar-,= of Orono at the Narrows Bridge, north to Shoreline
Drive (County Road 15) at Navarre, and to report back to the
• City of Orono the findings of that study.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota,
at a regular meeting held June 15, 1978.
