A RESOLUTION DISAPPROVING THE FINDINGS OF
A TRAFFIC STUDY ON CERTAIN STREETS IN THE
CITY OF ORONO BY THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT
OF TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, the City of Orono did, on July 25, 1977,
request by resolution #809 the Minnesota Department of Transporta-
tion to conduct a traffic study on certain streets in the City of
Orono, and
WHEREAS, on February 9, 1978, the Minnesota Department
of Transportation did report their findings to the City of Orono,
and,
WHEREAS, the City of Orono does not agree with their
findings, and,
WHEREAS, the City of Orono is concerned with the
safety, health and welfare of the citizens of Orono.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Orono
does hereby request of the Minnesota Department of Transportation
to reconsider the speed limit authorization on the following
• streets in the City of Orono:
Willow Drive, from the north boundary line
at the City of Medina south to Fox Street.
Watertown Road, from Willow Drive west to
County Road #6.
Old Crystal Bay Road, from County Road #6
to Fox Street.
Fox Street, from Old Crystal Bay Road east
to Orono Orchard Road.
No"rth Ferndale Road, from County Road #6
to State Highway #12.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota,
at a regular meeting held February 23, 1978. In
