RESOLUTION # 881 <br />A RESOLUTION DISAPPROVING THE FINDINGS OF <br />A TRAFFIC STUDY ON CERTAIN STREETS IN THE <br />CITY OF ORONO BY THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT <br />OF TRANSPORTATION <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono did, on July 25, 1977, <br />request by resolution #809 the Minnesota Department of Transporta- <br />tion to conduct a traffic study on certain streets in the City of <br />Orono, and <br />WHEREAS, on February 9, 1978, the Minnesota Department <br />of Transportation did report their findings to the City of Orono, <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono does not agree with their <br />findings, and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono is concerned with the <br />safety, health and welfare of the citizens of Orono. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Orono <br />does hereby request of the Minnesota Department of Transportation <br />to reconsider the speed limit authorization on the following <br />• streets in the City of Orono: <br />Willow Drive, from the north boundary line <br />at the City of Medina south to Fox Street. <br />Watertown Road, from Willow Drive west to <br />County Road #6. <br />Old Crystal Bay Road, from County Road #6 <br />to Fox Street. <br />Fox Street, from Old Crystal Bay Road east <br />to Orono Orchard Road. <br />No"rth Ferndale Road, from County Road #6 <br />to State Highway #12. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota, <br />at a regular meeting held February 23, 1978.
