A RESOLUTION DISAPPROVING THE FINDINGS
OF THE TRAFFIC STUDY ON NORTH ARM DRIVE
(COUNTY ROAD 151) AND SHORELINE DRIVE
(COUNTY ROAD 15) FROM FERNDALE ROAD WEST
TO ORONO ORCHARD ROAD
WHEREAS, the City of Orono did, on July 25, 1977,
request by resolution #804 and #809 the Hennepin County Highway
Department to conduct a traffic study on North Arm Drive (County
Road #151) between Loma Linda Avenue and West Branch Road (County
Road #151), a distance approximately four tenths of a mile, and
on Shoreline Drive (County Road 15) from Ferndale Road west to
Orono Orchard Road, and
WHEREAS, on January 9, 1978, the Hennepin County
Highway Department did report those. findings to the City of Orono,
and,
WHEREAS, the City of Orono does not agree with their
findings, and,
WHEREAS, the City of Orono is concerned with the safety,
health and welfare of the citizens of Orono.
S NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Orono
does hereby request of the Hennepin County Highway Department to
reconsider the speed limit authorization on the following County
Roads in the City of Orono:
North Arm Drive (County Road 151) between Loma
Linda Avenue and West Branch Road (County Road
151) , a distance of approximately four tenths
of a mile.
Shoreline Drive (County Road 15) from Ferndale
Road west to Orono Orchard Road.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota,
at a regular meeting held February 23, 1978.
