A RESOLUTION APPROVING COORDINATED
PERA-OASDI
WHEREAS the Village of Orono has expressed its interest in
coordination of PERA-OASDI by supporting the, Hennepin County
League of Municipalities concerning this matter!
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Village Council, Village of
Orono, Minnesota, urges the passage of S.F. 617 and H.F. 900, the
League of Minnesota Munlcipalitiest sponsored bills providing for
coordination of PERA and OASDI.
Adopted at a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village
of Orono, April 269 1965..

RESOLUTION #96
A REGOLUTION OPPOSING CHANGE IN THE
ADMINISTRATION OF DIRECT RELIEF IN HENNEPIN COUNTY
�. WHEREAS, it is now proposed that the legislature of the
State of Minnesota enact legislation abolishing the Township System
.of administration of relief and institute and establish a County
System, and
WHEREAS, such.a change is unnecessary, undesirable and
costly and expensive.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Village Council
of the Village (f Orono that said Village of Orono is opposed to the
enactment of any legislation which will change the present system of
administration of direct relief and establish or impose a County
System therefor..'

A RESOLUTION CREATING THE PARKING FACILITY BOND
FUND.,.APPROPRIATING SPECIAL'ASSESSMENTS FOR
THE SUPPORT -AND MAINTENANCE THEREOF AND
DIRECTING ISSUANCE OF $47,000 PARKING
LOT BONDS OF'1965
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council•of the Village`of
Orono^'Minnesota, as: follows: `
1. This Council hereby finds and determines that it.has
held'a public'.'hearing as required by-. -law' and -has determined,''by Reso
lution No;. 57" adopted -on June 29.., 1964,, = to proceed with making a

parking lot improvement and has. established the district to be
-assessed therefor; -that the total cost of acquiring said parking
facility is:estimatedyto be $47,00% and such estimate s believed to
be reasonably accurate-- that, the total benefits•,resulting from said
parking facility to the lots, pieces and parcels.of land ,to' be;.
assess d therefor, -anal io the, Village at large.,-. will, be substantially
in excess,of the total cost thereof; that the Village has:.adopted,and
confirmed an assessment -roll levying spe:cial.asses.sments on properties
benefited by said facility, after'a public hearing. "and notice thereof,
given as required by law;' that- the total'- .principal amount of the
assessments shown in.said,roll exxceeds.`$47,,-000 .and such assessments
are •payable in 15 equal, annual ins'tallments,, the first, nstallment"

of the. Village*, in accordance with' -the provi'6ions.-of Minnesota
Statutes '1'961, ,- Section 475.61 et `• seq. , and 'shall be continued and:
maintained in •the .mann.er`�btre`,in..rs.pecified until all :of the bonds herein
authorized -and, .interest thereon' shall have been duly paid. There shiill

be credited ,`to the`said fund all'coll-ections of ,special assessments
levied 'for said parking facility, 'all accrued interest received -upon
delivery of�•sad :bonds,, and any collections of general ad valorem taxes
levied to pay said bonds or' any other bonds mad®.payable from :said'
_fund.. The moneys in: said fund shall �be' held and used only. f.or the -
payment. of the, principal of and interest on said blonds .and on any .other
