A RESOLUTION REGARDING PROVISION OF
SPACE FOR HENNEPIN COUNTY
MUNICIPAL COURT
e.
WHEREAS, Chapter 877 of the Session Laws of -Minnesota. -
1963
f -Minnesota. -1963 established.a Hennepin,County Municipal Court effective'
January 1, 1965 and,
WHEREAS, it directs the County of Hennepin to provide
.suitable quarters for the holding of branch non—jury courts
in various mtmicipalities in the county including the Village
of Orono and.,
WHEREAS, the. Village of Orono has been provided with a
resume of space and facility requirements for such courts and, A
WHEREAS, The Village of -Orono has at this time no
property, real estate or buildings meeting these requirements
available to the court,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Village Council s
of the Village: of Urono -recommends that Hennepin County
arrange to provide the required space and facilities in Orono
by lease of properties other than that owned by the Village -and,
BE I,T--FURTHER RESOLVED that if such a lease arrangement
be found impossible the Village Council of the Village of Orono
recommends that Hennepin County postpone, if possible under the
law, the establishment of such a court until such time that
suitable quarters become available to the court.

PRIMARY, GENERAL AND VILLAGE ELECTIONS TO BE HELD

AND CALLING A HEARING THEREON
BE IT RESOLVED By the Village Council of the Village of
Orono, Minnesota, as,follows:
(1) The special assessments heretofore prepared by the
Clerk for village projects.,63-STP-1, 63 -TS -1 and 637TLS-1, and

(2) This Council shall meet at the time and place
.,specified in the form of notice hereinafter contained for the
purpose of conducting a public hearing on said assessments, and
the Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of
said meeting to be mailed to the owners of the property to be
assessed and to cause the following notice to be published -in the

official newspaper of the Village at least once, not later than
two weeks prior. to said meeting, which notice shall be in sub-
stantially the following form:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN That the Village Council of Orono,
Minnesota, will meet at the Hill School in said Village
on Thursday, October 22, 1964, at 8:00 o'clock p.m., for
'the purpose of conducting a public hearing on the assess-
ments proposed to be made against property benefited by
Sanitary Sewer Impr`o_vements Nos. 63 -STP -11'63 -TS -11
63 -TLS -1, and 64 -ZS -1, which improvements consist of the
following work..
A sanitary sever system consisting of a sewage treatment
plant, sewer trunks, laterals and apburtenances to serve
:all and/or part of those tracts, parcels, lots, sub-
divisions, additions and other such properties located
within the following sections or portions thereof:
All that part of the south half of Section 5 lying
westerly of Lots l through 9 inclusive, Auditor's Sub-
division No. 207;
All that part of the southeast one-quarter of Section 6
lying easterly of-`Ndrth Arm, Lake Minnetonka;
All of Section 8;
All of :the south one-half of Section 9;
All of Section 7 except that part of the northwest
one-quarter lying north of Mount Home Park and Mound
Home Park Vacated and north of the north line of Lots 95.and
96, Tonka -View Gardens and north of said line of Lots 95 and
96 extended westerly;��
All of the north one' -half of Section 16;

The area proposed to be assessed for special benefit
derived from said improvements is each lot, piece and
parcel of land contained in and abutting the above
described areas.

of the Village Clerk.
All.Persons whose property might be so assessed may,
at the above -stated time and place, present oral or
written objections to said assessments.

AND CALLING FOR BIDS ON CONSTRUCTION OF

MUNICIPAL PARKING LOT 64 -PL -1
BE .IT RESOLVED By the Village Council of the Village, of .
Orono, Minnesota, as follows:
The detailed plans and specifications heretofore
prepared by William,Mills, Orono, Minnesota, for
li 62-1 (Resolution #65, continued)
construction of Municipal Parking Lot'64-PL-1 are hereby approved
and ordered filed.
(2) This Council shall meet on September 28, 1964, at
7:30 o'clock P.M. at the Village Hall in the Village
of Orono for the purpose of receivin andd 1

bids for the construction of said improvement, and the Clerk
is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of said meet-
ing to be published in the official newspaper and in the
Construction Bulletin, published at Minneapolis* Minnesota,
once at least ten days prior to the date of said -meeting, which
notice shall spedify the time and place of the meeting, the
nature of the work, that sealed bids for said work must be
received by the Village Clerk prior to the time of said meeting,
accompanied by a cashier' -s or certified check or bid bond in
the amount of at least 5% of "the respective bids, that the
Council reserves the.right to hold such bids for a period of
40 days without award and the right to reject any and all bids
without explanation and to waive any informalities.

IN THE RURAL HENNEPIN COUNTY",30RSING
DISTRICT
WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Sections 145108 and
145.12•'provision has been made for a public-health nursing
district in that portion of Hennepin County outside the City
of Minneapolis, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to such authority such a public health nursing
district has been organized and has been in operation for several '
years, and
WHEREAS,` -it is deemed necessary to continue'the operation of such

.nursing district and to provide it with
adequate funds for its
proper operation.

NOW, THEREFORE,.BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
GOVERNING BODY OF THE
Village -of Orono,that this political
subdivision continue to be
included in the.public health nursing
district of rural Hennepin
County, organized on January 4, 1952;
that it participate in the
benefits thereof; and that it agrees
to support on an apportion-
ment basis its pro rata share of the
cost of the administration
of such district provided, however°, that
for the period of
January 1, 1965 through December 31,
1965, this cost shall not
exceed 26.5¢ per capita on the basis
of the official 1960 Federal
Census.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution
shall be deemed an
agreement to continue to participate
in such nursing district on

the basis hereinbefore .specified with
all other political sub-
divisions adopting similar resolutions.

A RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT5FOR CONSTRUCTION
(EXCAVATION, STORM SEWER, GRAVEL AND PAVING) OF
MUNICIPAL PARKING LOT 64 -PL -1
BE IT RESOLVED By the Village Council of the Village
of Orono, Minnesota, as follows:
(1) It is hereby found, determined -and declared that the
h lowest two bids submitted by responsible contractors
for the construction of the respective schedule of work for the
construction of storm sewer, graveling and paving of Municipal
Parking Lot 64 -PL -1 for the Village are as follows:

(2) The contracts for the construction of storm sewer,' 4
graveling and paving of Municipal Parking Lot 64-PL-1
are hereby awarded to the lowest bidder for each respective p
schedule of work; and the Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to return the bid deposits of all bidders except the lowest two
bidders for.each schedule of work. The bid deposits of the
lowest two bidders for each respective schedule shall be retained K`
pending the execution of contracts.
(3) The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to enter"into

upon said bidder furnishing a satisfactory corporate surety bond
conditioned upon the satisfactory performance of th6 work accord

BE IT RESOLVED By the Village Council of the Village
of Orono, Minnesota, as follows:'
(1) It is hereby found, determined and declared that the
lowest two bids submitted by responsible contractors
for the construction of the respective schedule.of work for the
construction of electrical and lighting work for Municipal Parking
Lot 64-PL-1 for the Village are as follows:
1. Lehn Electric $4,853.00
2., Lee Electric 5,200.00 -f
(2) The-contracts for the construction of electri=cal and
lighting work for Municipal Parking Lot 64-PL-1 are

hereby awarded to the lowest bidder for each respective schedule
of work; and the Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
P.eturn the bid deposits of all bidders except the lowest two
bidders for each schedule of work. The bid deposits of the
lowest two bidders for each respective schedule shall be retained

A RESOLUTION ORDERING ACQUISITION OF LAND FOR
MUNICIPAL PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENT 64 -PL -1
BE IT RESOLVED By the Village Council of the Village
of Orono, Minnesota, as follows:
The Mayor and Clerk, under the supervision of the
Village Attorney, are hereby authorized and directed
to enter into a contract with the appropriate parties for the
acquisition of land necessary for the Municipal Parking Lot
64 -PL -1 for the 'Village.
