i� <br />City of ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. 2275 <br />A RRSDLOTION GRANTING <br />VARIANCES TO <br />WMICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SBCTIOV 10.23, SUBDIVISION E (B) <br />FILR #1196 <br />MHERFAS, Denais McGreevy (hereinafter "the applicant") is the <br />owner of the property located at 3415 Eastlake Street within the City of <br />Orono (hereinafter "City") and legall; described as the East 50 feet of the <br />Wes,. 100 feet of Lot 1, Block 8, Ba-side Addition to Lake Minnetonka, <br />Hennepin Courty, Minnesota (hereinafter "the property"); and <br />NFBREAS, the applicant has applied to the City for variances to <br />Municipal .oning Code Sect., n 10.23, Subdivision 3 (B) to permit the <br />construction of a three season porch located 15 from the front lot line <br />instead of the required 50 feet and 11.5 feet from the east side lot line <br />and 13.5 fe-31 from the west side lot line instead of the required 30 feet. <br />Minnesota: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />FINDINGS <br />1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #1196. <br />2. The property is located in the LR-lA Single Family Lakeshore <br />Residential Zoning District. <br />3. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on <br />September 21, 1987, and recommended approval of the proposed variances <br />based upon the following findings: <br />A) The proposed addition and overall size of the residence will <br />be consistent with the pattern of developed properties within <br />the Eastlake Street neighborhood. <br />B) The improvements on the substandard property do not exceed <br />the 30 percent hardcover allowance. <br />4. The City Council has considered this application including the <br />findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission, reports by <br />City staff, comments by the applicant and the effect of the proposed <br />variances on the health, safety and welfare of the community. <br />Page t of 3 <br />
