The property was acquired with the sole purpose of upgrading to make a permanent residence for our family. The dwelling unit has been completed and represents a substantial improvempttt to the property, the neighborhood, and the City of Orono. Tht i-xist ing mlit-d (which would be torn down upon completion (it the KAraga.) to an eyesore and is inadequate for a garage and storage area. 1. The existing shed is right on the property tine, creating aeethatt- cally displeasing site lines. 4. Due to the poor soil conditions, i will have to construct the garage on footings x(me four feet below grade and the closer i get to the trees and root systems, the more likely the odds of destroying some. S. Without the setback variance, the garage would he too Close to the dwelling, creating a visual .alghtmare and causing a potentially dangerous fire condition. b.
