A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF
HOPE CHEST FOR BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION
FOR A ONE DAY MINNESOTA LAWFUL GAMBLING EXEMPT PERMIT

WIiEREAS,the Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation has applied to the State of
Minnesota Gambling Control Board for a Minnesota Lawful Gambling Exempt Permit to conduct
lawful gambling activities; and �
WHEREAS,the Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation proposes to conduct a one
day gambling activity(raffle) as part of the Women of Hope Brunch to be held at 3850 Shoreline
Drive on June 7, 2003; and
WHEREAS, the Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation is required to obtain
approval of the gambling activity from the city in which the activity will occur.

NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,the Orono City Council does hereby
approve the application for a Minnesota Lawful Gambling Exempt Pernut for the Hope Chest for
Breast Cancer Foundation to conduct a one day gambling activity(raffle)at 3850 Shoreline Drive on
June 7, 2003.
Adopted at a regular meeting of the Orono City Council this 27th day of May,2003.
