A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF
MINNESOTA STATE HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY FOR
A ONE DAY MINNESOTA LAWFUL GAMBLING EXEMPT PERMIT`
WHEREAS, the Minnesota State Horticultural Society has applied to the State of
Minnesota Gambling Control Board�for a Minnesota Lawful Gambling Exempt Permit to conduct
lawful gambling activities; and
WHEREAS,the Minnesota State Horticultural Societyproposes to conduct a one day
gambling activity(raffle) as part of the Great Minnesota Plant Swap to be held at Otten Brothers
Nursery and Landscaping located at 2350 Wayzata Boulevard West on June 7, 2003; and
WHEREAS,the Minnesota State Horticultural Society is required to obtain approval
� of the gambling activity from the city in which the activity will occur.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLYED,the Orono City Council does hereby� •.
approve the application for a Minnesota Lawful Gambling Exempt Permit for the Minnesota State
Horticultural Society to conduct a one day gambling activity(raffle) at Otten Brothers Nursery and
Landscaping on June 7, 2003.
Adopted at a regular meeting of the Orono City Council this 12th day of May,2003.
