At the next City Council meeting, Monday, January 23, 1984,
the City Council will review the status of Smith project. In
addition to the possibility of constructing a sewer line to the
Smith property, the City Council will also discuss the possibility
of allowing Smith to build holding tanks on his property which
could be pumped periodically by Smith into a tanker truck that
would drive on the easement to the Smith property. This approach
has been used with other houses adjacent to the lake which could
not build adequate on -site septic systems and when municipal sewer
was not available.
I urge you again to try to resolve the issues between the
Smiths and the Powers interest so that there is no need for the
City to be further invovled.
