HomeMy WebLinkAbout1981-09-14 Resolution 1312city of ORONO RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL fe NO. 1312 RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATTON OF A SEWER AND WATER FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR 2477 DUNWOODY AVENUE. WHEREAS, for the purpose of protecting the public health and safety and for promoting the most general public welfare, the City has adopted Ordinance No. 210, The On -Site Sewage Treatment Code, which ordinance regulates the proper design, location, construction, altera- tion, use and maintenance of on -site sewage treatment systems, and which ordinance established a program for inspection of existing on -site systems to assure a minimum, adequate level of sewage treatment in the City; and WHEREAS, this inspection program has id•�ntified a parcel of Property located at 2477 Dunwoody Ave, PID 20-117-23-22-0015, which property .is located within the urban sewer service area of the City and which property contains a malrunctioning or inadequately functioning septic system located within 15 feet of Lake Minnetonka; and WHEREAS, 2477 Dunwoody Ave. is a land -locked parcel of land not abutting any public street or right-of-way; and WHEREAS, a sewer stub is available on. Dunwoody Avenue, which service has not been extended to the actual property line of this property; and WHEREAS, this proc:.,(�rty has b:!can assessed For sewer trunk availability but has never been :assessed for sewer unit or sewer literal service; and WHEREAS, all a3j:,cent properties Jo directly abut Dunwoody Ave., are already connected to municipal sa.iitary sewer and were assessed for sewer trunk, unit and lateral charges; and WHEREAS, •i water main stub assignee for this proerty is available on Dunwoody Ave. and this property has boon assessed For municipal wat^r servio availability; and WHEREAS, it is proposed to extend sanitary sewer and :municipal water service subs from Dunwoody Avenue t,) the actual property line of this subject property and tr) assess said property for all or a portion of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429. city of ORONO RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL NO. 1312 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota that the above proposed improvement be re- ferred to the City Engineer for study and that he is instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the council in a preliminary way as to the feasibility and estimated cost of the improvement as rec:ommnended.
