McCune (hereinafter "the applicant") is the owner of <br />the property located at 14 73 Bay Ridge Road "Within the City of Orono (hereinafter "the City") <br />and legaily described as follows: <br />Exhibit A attached (hereinafter "the property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City for a variance to Municipal <br />Zoni.I1g Code Section 10.23 , Subdivision 6 (B) to permit the construction of a <br />garage,'bedroom'bath addition to be located 1 O' from the side lot line where a 30' side setback <br />i s normally required , and construction of a sunroom located 2 7' from the side lot line where <br />a 30' setback is normally reqmred, and a variance to Sections 10.22 , Subdivision 2 and 10.56, <br />Subdivision 16 (L) to allow 26. 7% hardcover in the 75-250' zone where only 25·~~ hardcover <br />is normally allowed. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED b y the City Council of Orono , <br />r.'f innesota: <br />FINDINGS <br />1. Th i s application was reviewed as Zoning File #2084. <br />2. The property is located in the LR-1A Single Famil y Lakeshore Residentiai <br />Zoning District. <br />3. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on Nov ember 20. <br />1995 and recommended approv al of the proposed variances based upon the <br />following findings: <br />A . Tne proposed side setback of 1 O' for the garage and 27' for the sunroom <br />instead of the required 30', is consistent with other development in the <br />neighborhood . <br />Page 1 of 6
