HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-04-29 Septic System Design ReportSYSTEM DESIGN FOR PAUL SKOOG OF LOT 3, BLOCK 2, RINGERSWOOD ORONO, MINNESOTA 4-29-86 1. Percolation Rate, Type of System. 73.8 minutes per inch on the primary site and 78.3 on the alternate site. Pressure mound system on the primary, and on the alternate if ever needed there. 2. Proposed Flow Rate. 3 bedrooms & 150 G.P.D. = 450 G.P.D. 3. Soil Treatment Area Needed. 0.83 factor when using 12" of clean sand under the rock bed x 450 G.P.D. = 375 sq. ft. This is a rock bed 10 feet wide by 37.5 feet long. 4. Dike Width Needed. The basal width factor for this soil is 5.00 so the r,:quired basal width is 5.00 x 10 feet = 50 feet. Subtracting 10 feet for the rock bed and because of the flat ground, the dike will need to spread out at least 20 feet on each side of the bed. This is more than a 4:1 slope so it is adequate. The ends should slope at 4:1 or 12 feet out from the 3 foot high mound. 5. Distribution. Distribution is to be by pressure to 3 perforated laterals located in the 10 foot wide rock bed. 6. Septic -anks. Two sep is tanks, the first of at least 1000 gallons and the second of at least 74 gallons are needed. In addition, a third pumping tank is needed to house the pump and meet the requirements for reserve capacity and dose size. Ai alarm device wil! also be needed to warn of pump failure. 414 A e 7. All coo,;Tructionymust be kept off both the primary and alternate drainfield sites. .All materii.ls and construction must adhere to the provisions of Individual Sewage Treatment Systems Standards (WPC-40) and the City of Orono. If any add'.tional information is needed, please contact me. Sincerely, PERCOR, INC. Mark S. Gronberg PCA certified ?
