Purpose. Tue app l icant is requesting variances side street setback and interior side setback . <br />2 . 15 .99 Deadline The application was received and considered complete on September 4, 2018 . <br />Therefore the 60-Day review period expires on November 8, 2018. <br /># 3. Background/ Summary . T his site was the subject of an earlier variance ap plication (18-4000 and <br />LAI 8-000033). The application originally requested multiple setback variances and a structural coverage <br />variance . The City Council reviewed the application on May 14 , 20 I 8 and approvecl variances for lot <br />area, lot width , front yard, side street and interior side yard setbacks (Reso lution 6864). A new bui lder <br />has applied for a building permit and is proposing two new encroachments: <br />1. E xpand the house footprint over the approved window well into the interior side setback; <br />expanding the structure and volume within intedor side yard setback <br />2. Creating a new bump out within the side street yard setback outside of the approved house <br />footprint; expanding the structure and volume within this setback <br />These alterations of the building plans are significant enough to warrant additional public review. <br />4. Planning Commission Vote and Comment. The Planning Commission review the <br />application and found the proposed changes to be reasonable. The Planning Commission <br />unanimously recommended approval o the proposed variances,, 7-0. <br />5. Public Comment.
