• ' • • RECEIVING FEASIBILITY REPORT ON NAVARRE
UTILITY AND STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 1390 of the Council, adopted
June 28, 1982, a Report has been prepared by the City Engineer with
� reference to proposed utility and street improvements in the Navarre area
of Orono, as follows :
PART A. Construction of a sanitary sewer trunk line •
. from the intersection of Blaine Avenue and
Lyric Avenue to lift Station No. 5 at Togo
Road and Shadywood Road.
PART B. Construction of sanitary sewer, water main,
storm sewer and streets within the proposed
subdivision plat of Schlee Builders, Inc.
located in an area described as south of the
Burlington Northern Railroad, west of Blaine
Avenue, and north of Shoreline Boulevard.
� PART C. Upgrading and widening of Blaine Avenue between
' Crystal Place and Shoreline Drive.
PART D. Construction of lateral sanitary sewers to
' serve properties abutting Northern Avenue.
WHEREAS, said Report dated Ju1y 21, 1982, was received and
reviewed by the City Council on July 26, 1982.
. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Orono:
1) The Council hereby accepts said Report as to the feasibility
of the proposed work and as to the estimated cost of
constructing said work.
2) The Council will consider the construction of the above
described utility and street improvements in accordance
with the Report, and the assessment of the benefitted
properties for all or a portion of the cost of the
improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429,
as follows :

A. Off-plat property tributary to the proposed sanitary
sewer �trunk, shown as the "unit assessment area" on
attached Exhibit A, is proposed to be assessed an •
� estimated $126, 508.00 for beneficial use of said trunk
sewer.
B. Property included in the Schlee Builders, Inc. proposed
� plat is proposed to be assessed an estimated $231, 640.00
for impravements to be constructed within said plat and
for their share of off-plat imp�ovements for sanitary
. sewer trunk and for Blaine Avenue street improvements.
C. Off-plat property abutting Blaine Avenue and vacant,
undeveloped land west of the Schlee Builders, Inc.
plat, legally described as .Lots 2, 3, and West 6 ft
of Lot 4, Block 9, Townsite of Langdon Park, is proposed
to be assessed an estimated $27, 600.00 for Blaine Avenue
� street improvements .
D. Properties abutting Northern Avenue are proposed to
be assessed $72, 740. 00 for Northern Avenue lateral
sewer improvements should that project be ordered as
part of the other work contemplated by the July 21,
1982, Report. �
E. The estimated total cost af al1 proposed work and all
proposed assessments as listed. above. is $444, 798.00
� (or $458. 488.00 with optional extension of Lyric Avenue
west of Blaine) .
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota,
a regular meetir�g held this 26th day of Ju1y, 1982.
