1. Percolation Rate. Type of System.
33.5 minutes per inch. Shallow trench system for the primary site(holes 1-4).
2. Proposed Flow Rate.
3 bedrooms 9 150 G.P.D. = 450 G.P.D.
3. So i 1 Treatment Area Requ i red .
2.0 percolation rate factor x 450 G.P.D.= 900 Sq. Ft. minimum.
4. Size and Number of Trenches.
3 trenches 3 feet wide and 100 feet long = 900 Sq. Ft. These trenches
would be spaced a minimum of 7.5 feet apart center to center and be no
deeper than 1.5 feet near soil boring # 1.
5. Grainfield Flock Needed.
33.3 cubic yds. of rock is needed to have 6 inches under and 2 inches over
a 4 inch distribution pipe.
6. Septic Tanks.
Two septic tanks each of 1000 gallons are recommended. In addition, it appears
that a third pumping tank and pump will be needed to reach the higher drain -
field area.
7. Additional Information.
Drainage must be diverted from the drainfield area and no grading or construc-
tion traffic is allowed on either the primary or alternate drainfield sites.
All construction and materials must adhere to the provisions of the City of
Orono.
