RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL

� � � � DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED,ORDERING PREPARATION
{ OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT AND CALLING FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR SANITARY
SEWER PROJECT LS-1981-1
' WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolutions #1288 , 1294 , 1295 , and 1302
a contract has been let for the improvement of lots 62,63 ,64 ,65 ,66 ,'�0,
7_2 ,73,74 ,75,76 , and 77, HIGHWOOD LAKE MINNETONKA, by construction and
installation of Munic�ipal Sanitary Sewer Service Project LS-1981-1; and
' WHEREAS, the contract price for such improvements and the
expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making of such improvements
amount to the total cost of the improvement of $ 50 ,350 . 00 ;and of this
cost the City will pay $0; and
WHEREAS, the City Administratior has prepared a proposed
assessment ro11 based on said cost of improvement Project LS-1981-1 ,
which proposed assessment is filed in his office for public inspection.
• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
' of Orono, Minnesota:
1. The cost of such improvements to be specially assessed
is hereby declared to be $ 50 ,350. 00
2 . The City Administrator, with the assistance of the City
Engineer calculated the proper amount to be specially
assessed .for such improvements against every assessable
lot, piece of parcel of land within the district affected,
without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law and
as provided in Resolutions #1288 & 1294 , and he filed a
• copy of such proposed assessment in his office for public
inspection.
3. A hearing sha11 be held on the 22nd day of February, 1982,
in the Orono Council Chambers , 1275 South Brown Road, at
7 :00 p.m. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at
such time and� place all persons owning property affected by
the improvements wil.l be qiven an opportunity to be heard
with reference to such assessment.
4 . The City Administrator is hereby directed to cause a
notice of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be
published once in the Minnetonka Sun newspaper at least

two week's prior to the hearing, and he shall state in the
notice the total cost of the improvement. He shall also
� cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel
described iri the assessment roll not less than two weeks
prior to the public hearing.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota, this 11
day of January 1982 .
