A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE ORONO PUBLIC WORKS
DEPARTMENT TO PLACE NO PARKING SIGNS ON PARK
' LANE AND ELM STREET IN THE CITY OF ORONO.
WHEREAS, on December 14 , 1981 the Orono City Council did
designate the cul-de-sac area on the south end of Park Lane a
No Parking and Tow-Away Zone, and �
WHEREAS, the designation of the tow-away zone may encourage
vehicular parking on Park Lane and Elm Street, and
WHEREAS, it is in the interest of Public Safety, Health, and
Welfare to terminate on street parking, and
WHEREAS, the City of Orono staff has determined that Park Lane
and Elm Street are narrow streets and cannot accommodate on street
parking.
, � NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Orono City Council does
hereby direct the Orono Public Works Department to place no parking
signs on a11 of Park Lane and on al1 of E1m Street, terminating all
parking 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
� Adopted by the Qrono City Council at a regular council meeting on
•December 14 , 1981. '
