WITHIN THE CITY OF ORONO � WHEREAS, Resolution 1�.35 adopted on April 14, .�.980, established and •legally defined the location of the Metropolitan Urban �Ser.vice Area (MU5A). within the eity of Orono.� as c�ocumented � in the 1.980 Community Management Plan (CMP) ; and WHEREAS, subsequent to the adoption o�f Resolution 1135, municipa.l sanitary sewer was. extended to housing clusters 4 and 5 as shown on Map 12 in the CMP, which areas are adjacent to and contiguous � with the City of Wayzata MU5A; and � � WHEREAS, sewer was extended to this area of existing urban- type development specifically to abate existing public health and pollution problems, not to provide an impetus for new urban development; • and WHEREAS, housing clusters 4 and 5 have unique location, land-use type, housing density and existing municipal service levels not g�enerally found ,in other rural housing clusters identified in this CMP; and WHEREAS, the intent and focus of the CMP is to permanently define and locate the urban and rural portions of. the City, and to eguate the Metropolitan Urban Service Area (MUSA) with the Metropolitan Sewer Service Region (MSSR) : NOW�, THEREFORE BE IT RES.OLVED� that the City Council of the City of Orono hereby amends the 1980 CMP and. Resolution 1135 as follows: 1) The .Metropolitan Sewer Service Regi(on (MSSR) within Orono .shall be the same. identical �area as the . Metropolitan.Urban Ser.vice Area (MUSA) wi.thin Orono. . 2) Resolution 1135 ' s establishment. and .legal definition of MUSA/MSSR Parts I through V shall. remain in effect ' without change. - 3) The . sewer-serviced. partions of housing �ciusters 4 and 5 - � as legally defined in this Resolution are hereby � established and added as Parts VI and VII of Orono' s � MUSA/MSSR Area. 1 of 4 • � � � � Clt� o� ORONO �� . . ': �� _ 4) The Official Urban-�Rura1 Service Area Map shall be Map 6 datewd �November, 1981, as included i�n the November, 1981, Edition of the 1980 Community Management � Plan. The legal descriptions of.
