Four per-
colation holes were tested and two soil borings taken in the pri-
mary site while two percolation holes and one soil boring were ta-
ken in the alter•nat© site area. In addition, one :;oil borin was
taken in the area of tho proposed house.
The percolation holes were dug 6-inches In diameter and 2 ft.
deop while the soil borings wer,; dug 6 inches in diameter to the
11. ft. depth and 3 inches in diameter to the remaining depth. All
holes were dug with bucket typo hand augers,
Because of the hiC1i water table in this aroa the percolation
holed wero tested at the shallower depth for a mound or shallow
trench system. Since the area contai-od an abundance of black
loam, the av :rs3e Percolation rate a rather fast 115.5 minutes
,Aii.ch would allow the she trench system to be con-
structed.
However, because of the high grater table in the area,it will
be necessary to construct an interceptor drain around the drain -
field area to divert runoff water. This could be part of the drain
tile system used t•ri.th the house. This drain should be 4 to 5 feet
do-,p :tth rock bein; placed over the tile with some black dirt
i)laced on trio top to establi.sii a grass cover,
Additional oyster desi-,n lnformat` on follows.
