; � - � � A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SALE
`�:m' .,, � OF A 1.12 ACRE PARCEL OF CITY
LAND TO HARRISON R. JOHNSTON
WHEREAS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation
organized and existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the request of
Harrison R. Johnston, hereinafter referred to as the applicant, to
purchase from the City a tract of land legally described as the
West 180 .feet of the East 510 feet of the South 550 feet of the
North 1320 feet of Government Lot 6, Section 9, Township 117 North,
Range 23 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, hereinafter referred
to as the property; and
WHEREAS, the statutes require -�ha-� City Council .review
the property for possible public use and £ound there was none; and
WHEREAS, on January 12, 1981, a sale price of Eight
Thousand Dollars ($8, 000.00) was determined to be adequate by the
• City Council in consideration of the price offered by the ap�licant
and the recommended fair market value per acre for said property
by the firm of Patchin Appraisals, Incorporated.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council ap-
proves the sale of the above described property to Harrison R.
Johnston and herewith authorizes the Mayor and Clerk to sign a
purchase agreement agreeing to all the conditions of the sale
and prior to the closing date to authorize the drafting of a quit
. claim deed allowing for the transfer of ownership of said property
to Harrison R. Johnston.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono on the
