' RESOLUTION OF THE CI�Y COUNCIL '

• A RESOLUTION APPROVING A E SANITARY SEWER
• - • • PROJECT FOR THE SCOTCH PINE� LANE AND NORTH SHORE DRIVE AREA
WHEREAS , the Orono �ouncil on September 15 , 1980 approved the
cunstruction of a sanitar�� sewer system for the Scu�ch Pine Lane/North
Shore Drive area ; and
IJHEREAS , the construction of the sanitary sewer was constructed
as per the executed contract ; and
�dHEREAS , on July 15 , 1981 the construction of the sanitary sewer
constructon was completed , approved , and accepted by the City Engineer ,
Bonestroo , Rosene , Anderlik, and Associates with the exception of minor
�restoration; and
WHEREAS , it is understood that there is a one year warranty
for all construction and restoration ; and
WHEREAS , it is fiurther understood that as per the contract that
after oae year of the acceptance date of the sanitary sewer system by the
City Engineer that all of t�e gravity portion of the sanitary sewer system
• will be inspected by way of televis3ng to determine any deficiencies in
the syste.m; and
WHEREAS , if it is determined by the City �ngineer as a result
of the televising of the gravity portion of the sanitary sewer system
there are needed repairs that those repairs will be corrected by the
contractor at no cost to the City of Orono ; and
' k'HEREAS , on July 15 , 1981 the residents affected 'oy the
� construction �f the� sanitary sewer s}�stem were notified that they could
connect their dwellir.g or business establishnent to the sanitary sewer
system.
NOW, THER�FORE , BE IT RESOLVED that the Citq Council of the
City of Orono does hereby accept the sanitary sewer system f�r the
Scotch Pine Lane and North Shore Drive area as per the City Engineers
recommendation with the conditions set forth above . Nothing herein shall
be construed as a release of any claims , known or unknown , that the City
• may have now or in the future arising out of the project .
Adopted this 14 day of q ��,pmhPr. 1�381 , by Ch Oron City Council
at a regular council meeting .
