6ti'FiEREAS the City of Orono has been notified that when
�ehic�es park on the shoulder of the road on Old Crystal Bay between
Stai�e Highway 12 and County Road 6 that there is a potenti«1 safety
hazard when scha�l buses enter and exit from the Orono schools;and
WH�REAS the City of Orono staff has reviewed the situation
�nd does ag.ree that there i.� a potential safety hazard on that sectzon
of Old Crystal Bay of vehicle parlcing �n th� shoulder continu�s .
NOtti' THEREFOF.E BE IT RESOLVED, that the �Jrono Council does
'riereby authorize and direct t�-ae Orono Publi_c Works Department to install
• n.o parking s�gns on �.he east and the west side of Old C�ystal Bay Rd.
