The City will not issue a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (Temp CO) for new homes during the growing season from May 1st to November 1st. Issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy requires all permits associated with the project to be finaled and an as-built survey approved by the City. If vegetation is not fully established at the time of CO issuance, the erosion control escrow will continue to be held. The septic system is not included in the building permit approval. The septic system requires a separate Septic Installation permit. This building permit is contingent upon installation of a conforming septic system. Soils have not been verified; proceed at your own risk. A Certificate of Occupancy will not be granted without installation of a compliant septic system.
