RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL

ORDERING PREPARATION OF
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR
NORTH SHOFtE DRIVE/HIGH�VOOD AREA
SANITARY SEWER PROJECT
WHEREAS, an March 23 , 1981, the City Council. adopted
Resolution 1256 accepting a petition by affected property owners
and ordering preparation of a feasibility renort regarding a
sanitary sewer project to serve properties in the North Shore
Drive/Highwood Area; and
[�1HEREAS , on May 11, 1981, the City Caunci_1 adopted
Resolution 1272 accepting the feasibility report and calling
for a public hearing on such improvement; and
WHEREAS, ten days published notice of the hearing
through two weekly publications of the reQuired notice was
given and the Hearing was held thereon on the eighth day of June,
• 1981, at which time all persons desiring to be heard were given
an opportunity tn be heard thereon; and
WHEREAS, the area in which sewer service is proposed
is within the Metropolitan Urban Service Area and is identified
=-n the Comprehensive Sewer Policy P1an as an unsewered pocket
af existing development for which the City has planned future
sewer service.
NO�^7, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Orono, pursuant to Chaoter 429 of r4innesota
Statutes, does hereby order Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik &
Associates, Inc. , City Engineers, to prepare plans and specif-
ications for the improvement of certain lots in the North Shore
Drive/Highwood Area by installation of municipal sanitary sewer.
l. Sewer service is to be provided to 5 lots or combination
of lots in the plat of Highwood Lake PZinnetonka which
lots are existing ar potential buildinq sites , as
follows :
1 service for lots 62 and 63 combined
1 service for lots 64 , 65 and ���est 2 66 combined
1 service for lot 72
1 service for lots 73 and 74 combined
• 1 service for_ lots 75 , 76 anc� 77 combined

2. Sewer service shall not be provided to lot 70 which
is a single separate lot of record but which contains
no habitable dwelling and which lot is only 50 feet
wide (36% of zoning width requirement) and onl_y 10 , 000
square feet in area (230 of zoning area requirement) .
